Artificial Intelligence and robotics are making inroads into our daily lives. From Siri, to Alexa, to self-driving cars, these technologies hold the promise of changing the very way we live. We'll explore what these technologies are and how they are created. We will discuss what skill sets you need if you want to work in these fields. Finally, we'll make some predictions about how these technologies will play out in the decades to come.

I graduated with a PhD in Computer Science from USC in 1997. I've been a Professor of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at USC for 20 years, and I've been doing research in robotics with my students over that entire time.
